Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Chenango County, New York. The job is at a container port. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket On the job you will handle: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
