Now hiring: we are hiring a thermal insulation technician in Randolph County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy building site. Requirements: • Disciplined about PPE — respirator, gloves and goggles • Physically fit, able to lift and carry boards and rolls • Working-at-height certificate an advantage On a typical shift you will seal gaps around windows, doors and service penetrations with sealant; fix XPS and EPS boards to external walls with adhesive and mechanical anchors; lag hot and cold water pipes with rockwool sections and aluminium cladding; prep, clean and prime substrates before membrane application; spray polyurethane foam onto walls and roof decks to the specified thickness; wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
