Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in Wabaunsee County, Kansas. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. You should have: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers On a typical shift you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; stuff and link fresh sausages with casings.
