Now hiring: we are hiring a precision welder in Madison County, Virginia. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Day-to-day duties: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) 4+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $190 per day plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
