Immediate opening: safety marshal (Alaska)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a safety marshal in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a manufacturing plant. You will inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience.
