Urgent requirement: fettler (Kentucky)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Carlisle County, Kentucky. You will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
