Immediate opening: we are hiring a precision welder in Hampshire, England. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. On a typical shift you will strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. You should have: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Full-time with occasional weekends. £15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
