Gas meter installer — Merthyr Tydfil County Borough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough, Wales. The job is at a busy gas installation company. You will fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Six days a week, one day off.
