Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Fayette County, West Virginia. The job is in a textile and apparel unit. The role involves: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Requirements: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
