Fabricator-welder — St. Helens

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in St. Helens, England. The role involves: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
