Now hiring: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in City of Buena Vista, Virginia. On a typical shift you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. Requirements: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
