Great opportunity: milling machine operator (Alaska)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Aleutians West Census Area, Alaska. Day to day you will monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts. Ideal candidate: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
