Lathe operator wanted in City and Borough of Wakefield

Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe operator in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will be based in a packaging factory. The role involves load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper; set up and start the machine as per the job card; follow lockout-tagout before cleaning or clearing the machine; monitor gauges and stop the machine when readings drift; record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet; top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels. What we are looking for: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
