Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Damboa, Borno State. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Your main tasks: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols 2+ years on the tools preferred.
