Immediate opening: we are hiring a marble worker in Alleghany County, North Carolina. You will be based on a residential building site. Day-to-day duties: • Grind and hone uneven floors flat before the final polish • Level and align slabs so joints stay tight and surfaces sit flat • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Cut out sink and hob openings in worktops on site • Work from cutting lists and installation drawings • Fix marble cladding to building facades with anchors and clamps Requirements: • Knowledge of epoxy resin filling and colour matching • Steady hand for edge profiling and a fine polished finish • Willing to work at heights for facade cladding 5+ years on the tools preferred.
