We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Pocahontas County, Iowa. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Pay around $27 per hour, based on your experience.
