Vacancy available: sample machinist (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Todd County, Kentucky. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. You will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. Requirements: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams 3+ years on the tools preferred.
