Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Strong attention to safety and load limits On a typical shift you will set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands.
