You should have: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift.
