We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Newton County, Georgia. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
