Car service technician — The Scottish Borders

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a car service technician in The Scottish Borders, Scotland. You will be based on the workshop ramps. The role involves: • Estimate repair costs and order the right parts • Road-test vehicles to confirm the repair • Diagnose engine faults using an OBD-II scan tool • Read fault codes and clear them after the repair • Replace shock absorbers, ball joints and track-rod ends • Service and replace timing belts and chains Requirements: • Confident using diagnostic scan tools • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
