Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in Jasper County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy distribution depot. Ideal candidate: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence The role involves: • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars Full-time with occasional weekends.
