Argon welder • Union County, Indiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Union County, Indiana. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish Requirements: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Overtime paid at a premium rate.
