Now hiring: we are hiring a furniture maker in Benton County, Iowa. The job is in a cabinet-making workshop. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Good eye for detail and a clean finish On the job you will handle: • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain Six days a week, one day off.
