Now hiring: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Boone County, West Virginia. You will work on a commercial construction site. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding The role involves installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod.
