Immediate opening: retail butcher (Minnesota)

Now hiring: we are hiring a retail butcher in Nicollet County, Minnesota. Day-to-day duties: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
