Machinist wanted in Effingham County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Effingham County, Georgia. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. You will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
