Shuttering and concrete hand • Union County, Mississippi

Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Union County, Mississippi. You will be based in a residential housing project. You should have: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods The role involves: • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
