Shuttering and concrete hand • Bronx County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shuttering and concrete hand in Bronx County, New York. You will be based on a road and bridge project. On a typical shift you will set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls; erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $7,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
