We are recruiting: we are hiring a retail butcher in Dubois County, Indiana. Day to day you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled. Requirements: • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
