MIG/MAG welder — Guadalupe County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Guadalupe County, Texas. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Day-to-day duties: • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
