Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Day-to-day duties: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Part-time with flexible hours.
