Great opportunity: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Sumter County, Florida. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. Your main tasks: • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Six days a week, one day off.
