Now hiring: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. You will work on a bridge and infrastructure project. On a typical shift you will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger. What we are looking for: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Able to read load charts and lifting plans Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift.
