Milling machine operator wanted in North Lanarkshire

Immediate opening: we are hiring a milling machine operator in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. You will work at a busy machine shop. On a typical shift you will carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges. Ideal candidate: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
