Urgent requirement: GMAW welder (Alaska)

Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Six days a week, one day off.
