Steel erection rigger — Des Moines County

Join our team: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Des Moines County, Iowa. The job is at a busy construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
