Great opportunity: we are hiring a panel welder in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently On a typical shift you will control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions.
