Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Langlade County, Wisconsin. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day-to-day duties: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
