Great opportunity: metal caster (Indiana)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Dubois County, Indiana. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
