Lifting rigger wanted in Martin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Martin County, North Carolina. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Six days a week, one day off.
