Urgent requirement: banksman (Michigan)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Alger County, Michigan. On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles We offer $19 per hour plus benefits.
