What we are looking for: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination The role involves: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal 5+ years on the tools preferred.
