Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Nemaha County, Kansas. You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings You will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
