Great opportunity: aluminium tig welder (Kansas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Allen County, Kansas. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day to day you will run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
