Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Choctaw County, Mississippi. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day-to-day duties: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
