Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Yuba County, California. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day-to-day duties: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Part-time with flexible hours.
