Immediate opening: trowel-trade bricklayer (New Jersey)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Ocean County, New Jersey. You will work at a renovation and extension job. On a typical shift you will building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
