Your main tasks: • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray Ideal candidate: • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
