The role involves: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
